I would like to describe to you a miracle . . . . . .

Before I came to see Dr. Sultan, I was feeling sick all over – headaches, bloating, diarrhea, poor digestion, fatigued and cold, dry skin and skin rashes.  I was even having some symptoms that I thought were related to heart problems, such as a rapid heart beat which at times appeared to me to be irregular.  I also felt quite depressed and anxious.

I had gone to several doctors – an internist, a heart specialist, and a psychologist – all of whom couldn’t tell me what was wrong.  It was so discouraging.  Well, I remembered driving past Dr. Sultan’s office many times and by this time I thought that maybe it was an allergy-related problem.  Well . . . . That was November . . . and here it is February.

I do not have the symptoms I described earlier!  Dr. Sultan did a series of tests and the results were:  Candida and hypothyroidism.  An extract, along with Nilstat and thyroid extract were prescribed.  Can it really make a difference?  Absolutely.  I am feeling great!

 We came to Dr. Sultan with our 10-year-old son, J. When I first came to the clinic, I was having trouble breathing, depression, short memory and fatigue.  The clinic first diagnosed my problems and then set up a three-stage treatment plan.  Phase I treated me for common allergies.  Phase II treated me for Candida yeast.  Phase III was really not required.

I feel that their treatment assisted my body in overcoming most allergy symptoms very quickly.  I had been to numerous doctors prior to (EHAC) and most of them said that I had no problems and would not treat me.

I was a member of an HMO for many years prior to switching to (a non-HMO).  I was seen many times by them including an allergy specialist, but my symptoms were never followed to the root cause.  I received many courses of antibiotics, mostly inappropriate and actually contributing to my problems.  My continued illness caused me to drop this HMO.

J. is only 9 years old, but during his short life, he’s known a lot of sickness.  As a baby and toddler, he had frequent ear infections and upper respiratory infections.  He’s always had mood swings and tended toward “hyper” behavior.  At age 5, he was hospitalized with bronchospasms and had several “asthmatic” type reactions during the next two years.  Then he began to develop sinus infections and by age 8 was sick 8 months of the year.  Eczema began to appear at that time and would often spread over large areas of his body.  He was miserable.

After allergy testing and treatment, J.is a totally different child.  He is calmer, quieter, happier, less tired, and better able to concentrate on his schoolwork.  The eczema is gone.  He has only 2-3 colds a year and they don’t seem to develop into the frequent infections that they used to.  He can breathe freely and he enjoys jogging!  He has fewer stomachaches and headaches, and life is just “more fun”!  Hooray!

 When I came to Dr. Sultan, I felt like I wanted to die!  I suffered from severe headaches, which required me to take painkillers (codeine) daily, and could not stay awake.  I slept any chance I could get.  I had suffered for 14 years and had been to numerous doctors, all of which could not help me.  I was diagnosed with Candida and low thyroid.  I received treatment for these conditions.

 I first came to Dr. Sultan in March for treatment of acne.  The acne was very severe on my face.  I had 10-15 large cysts and blackheads and whiteheads.  It did not improve much the first month, but after I started treatment for Candida, it started to improve.  I also started taking Vitamin A.  Now I have only one small cyst, no blackheads and occasional whiteheads.  At the time I started treatment, I was also having premenstrual problems, including gas, bloating, and cramping.  These problems have been eliminated.  I am happy with my progress.

We found, thanks to Dr. Sultan, yeast (took Nystatin and/or straight acidophilus), food allergies, multiple chemical allergies (rotation diet, avoidance) muscle spasms in face due to allergies, spring and fall; TMJ.

 Shots given for 1 ½ years.  Also low thyroid (put on desiccated thyroid), anemia (iron supplements), low magnesium (slow mag) and low adrenal function (low doses every other day and every other month on/off, ½ tab Medrol – no bloating.  Also used sunlight therapy and 6 “Basic Preventative” vitamins – from this office – daily.  Result:  After having chronic fatigue syndrome  …. For 9 years and couldn’t get out of bed, I am now in hyper drive at 38 and love it.  I can raise my twins, I have energy, can volunteer, and go back to work.  Seeing tons of friends, participating in tons of activities.  I kept up the B.P. vitamins and sunlight therapy for 3 years after seeing Dr. Sultan (just as backup).  It has now been 5 ½ years and I’ve never been healthier in my life.

We came to Dr. Sultan after spending approximately $600.00 on antibiotics, tubes in the ears, adenoids removed and R. was still getting sick.  Tired of weekly doctor visits and not knowing what to do, I heard about (Dr. Sultan) on the radio and decided to try.  What did I have to lose!  Now we are only giving allergy shots once a month and in the last 6 months have seen the doctor for only a school physical.  What a change from where we began.

M. was 13 years of age and active in basketball at her junior high school.  The school year was very trying for her because this year her allergies decided to explode.  Having undergone treatment with Dr. Sultan, I knew she needed to go sooner or later but this we would do when her symptoms became “troubling”.  She was absent from school often for upper respiratory problems.  It is deceiving to believe “any” doctor can deal with routine problems.  Yet this is what we did for several months.  Many dollars were spent on treatment ultimately topped by a tonsillectomy.  We felt we had the root of the problem by this time.  Two more months passed before I shook the blinders from my eyes and said “enough” to those people who couldn’t diagnose her mystery illness.  We saw Dr. Sultan in early march.  Within 2 weeks the worst of the symptoms were alleviated and she was able to return to school for the first time in 6 weeks.  Two more months have passed and the winter problems are now an irksome memory.  As long as she is mindful of what she eats and takes her prescribed medicine, she is free of the “mystery” illness.  She had allergies caused by Candida overgrowth.

These problems had bothered me for many years.  I went to several allergists but they were only able to offer limited relief from the sinus problems.  One allergist told me that she would not test for food allergy because nothing could be done about it.  I went to a neurologist for the migraines.  He put me on several different drugs which only worked for a short period of time.  Then he had me try the injection Imitrex.  It made me vomit and made the headache worse.  When I first saw Dr. Sultan, he started treating me for Candida overgrowth.  Within two months, the migraine headaches were gone.  I have not had another migraine in over two years.  With the treatment for allergies, my sinus problems are much better.  I am always able to breathe through my nose now.  I also have more energy than ever before.

By taking care of these, I feel better.  I have more energy and can do more things.  Over the weekend, I used to sleep all day until 4 pm.  Now I get up early in the morning and can go all day without getting tired.  In two months, I had started feeling so much better that I ran 1 mile in 11 minutes, 12 seconds, for the first time.  I used to take several asthma meds daily even up to 6 at one time.  Now I needed my inhaler only once.  I know I am not over it yet and I still have to watch what I breathe, eat, and drink.

One of the major factors that triggered my asthma was fragrances.  That is why Thomas Jefferson Middle School students graciously made the school fragrance free.  I am grateful to them.  Now I even tolerate fragrances to some degree.  This is where I think it will take me a long time to develop a tolerance to.

B., by his mom - male – 16 years

B. is 15 years old.  He was sick from the 3^rd day of birth.  He was always very tired and slept all the time.  He was very sick in the fall of the year every year, which affected his life at school.  By the time he was in the 2^nd half of 8^th grade, he had chronic sinusitis, constant diarrhea, body aches, food sensitivities (dairy)/allergy.  He was so tired, he had to be home schooled.  He was very, very hard to wake up when he was asleep, and also had insomnia!

 B. was diagnosed as being allergic to molds, dust, grass, cats, dairy, and tobacco smoke.  He is gluten intolerant.  He has Candidiasis.  He also has been diagnosed with low blood magnesium and low calcium.  He has low thyroid function.

He is better now!  He goes to school and comes home with energy.  He is happy and so much healthier!  Symptoms are clear as long as he does what Dr. Sultan says.  It is amazing.

J. is 11 years old.  She became very ill at age 9.  For two years she was seen by a number of specialists and treated for her fevers that lasted up to 25 days.  She was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis by a children’s hospital specialist, put on steroids for 1 ½ years.  She did not improve.  Her doctors could not understand why she was so ill all of the time.  A friend of mine who had similar problems told us about allergy treatments.

My thyroid levels were tested by a traditional endocrinologist and found to be “slightly high”, indicating low thyroid – however my symptoms were very disturbing to me: Extreme fatigue, hair loss, mental confusion, depression, etc.  I could barely function.  The endocrinologist refused to prescribe Armour thyroid, even though I requested it and instead gave me Synthroid.  I did not find any relief from my symptoms with Synthroid.

Dr. Sultan was willing to prescribe Armour thyroid and almost immediately I started to feel better.  I know that to feel my best, my thyroid levels should be on the low side.  Most doctors only look at numbers – not symptoms.  Dr. Sultan was willing to work on getting me to actually feel better, not just look good on paper!

began showing several symptoms at 18 mos.  He was tired and lethargic at times, other times he seemed hyper.  He was irritable and threw temper tantrums – he had an insatiable appetite and often hungry, even after he just ate.  After he had antibiotics for repeated infections and bronchitis, he was even sicker.  He had a cough that just would not leave.  Diarrhea was a frequent problem, to the point of mal-absorption – much gas, bloating and stomach aches.  His normal body temperature was often very low – sometimes in the 95 and 96 degree range.

In May 2004 my son, J., began treatment with Dr. Sultan.  That was the best day of our entire family's life!  Prior to this day, our child’s life was completely out of control.  Around the age of 2, our son began to experience severe hyperactivity, major temper tantrums, inability to follow directions, aggressiveness, and an inability to sleep at night.  As J. grew older his sleep problems increased.  He was now sleeping all afternoon.  We were unable to wake him.  He slept through school, allergy shots, even Disney World!  J. was diagnosed over the next 5 years as having attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity, obsessive/compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and any other disorder known to man.  After trying medications for all of these disorders to no avail – J. had severe reactions to most of the drugs – I began to go in a different direction.  We had previously seen psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, allergists, sleep specialists and a neurologist.  No one was able to help our son.  Dr. Sultan began treating J. for severe food allergies and Candida.  He also got treatment for seasonal allergies.  Within 2 weeks we began to see a different child.  J. woke up!  Over the past 1½ years, J. has continued to improve and he is currently controlling his symptoms through diet, supplements, and allergy injections.  J. is almost 9 years old and doing fantastic!

 J.J. was having frequent sinus and respiratory infections that inevitably led us to the doctor’s office and usually the hospital for treatment of asthma and pneumonia.  Some of the signs for asthma such as wheezing did not take place until the episode was almost irreversible.  That’s why the hospital trips were so frequent.  The treatment for asthma – breathing treatments, Prednisone, etc. – kept us like prisoners to a little boy’s sickness.  We also understood there could be some short-term and long-term side effects from the medications.  We were frustrated and bothered.

 We came to Dr. Sultan and received not only an alternative treatment plan, but a patient understanding and explanation of what was going on.  The harsh chemicals would now be used only occasionally and as emergencies if we had missed something along the way.  He is growing again and has been free of asthma episodes for 8 months.  What an improvement!  We had been having hospital-needed-treatments every 1 to 3 months before.  It has been a relief and joy to be treated in a safer way that treats the source of the problem, not simply masking the symptoms.  We are very grateful to God for Dr. Sultan and his allergy treatment center.  We try to turn on friends to alternative medicine / environmental medicine every chance we get.

When I first came to Dr. Sultan, I was in terrible shape.  I couldn’t eat or sleep and had lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks due to a sudden outbreak of food allergies.  Other doctors had prescribed further antibiotics, which I am convinced caused the problems in the first place, or Valium since it was most likely “all in my head”.

Dr. Sultan prescribed food injections and a Candida treatment and taught me the benefits of a rotation diet.  Several books by Dr. Sherry Rogers were also a great help in learning about nutrition.

After much studying and trial and error, my health has greatly improved.  Nutritional IV cured me of hypoglycemia and over the course of treatment I have alleviated 49 symptoms.  I can now tolerate exposure to chemicals in moderate doses, but would rather not.

I’m still taking food injections, but hope to leave them behind within the next year or so, and I haven’t taken so much as an aspirin in 4 years.
